About the Author
Adla M. Hannon, an ex-army nurse, has been writing songs, short stories and short plays since her early childhood. When not writing, she taught and supervised Certified Nursing Assistants. After having 3 children she was inspired to compose songs to help them celebrate holidays, birthdays, and special events. What started out as a Christmas tune about "Santa's broken sleigh" blossomed into a charming story that she wants to share with kids around the world. In true Adla form, she gracefully and calmly exited this world on July 14, 2009. The work she did for our country, our children, and for families to come will live on forever.

I enjoyed reading this book to the first grade students that I work with. It's imaginative characters and events held their attention. The settings and animal characters are a fun way to learn about some of the wonders of Australia.
